Day 4

The White Midfire clay turned OK, but was lousy to throw.

Am working out in the main studio because the Visiting Artist Studio now has a noisy Telecom router thing which buzzes and clicks and hums. Much better out here.


Did tests with Franz's reclaimed white, which is grogged a bit like Owen's wood fire clay and it throws well and will rip as I turn and burnishes like Owens did, so that will be cool for the Black Firing. (I guess?) All new to me

Greg has started me on tests for a black terra sigillata
